Malcolm Fielding's Lace Bobbin Shop

In response to some requests, there is a new feature on the site which will allow you to order custom bobbins in single woods, in a range of shapes to your choice, with or without spangles, and singly or in matched pairs.Here are some examples in ebony. See the custom bobbins menu option at the left.

Additionally I am adding the option to most bobbin styles to order a matched pair or single bobbins, and again where applicable to order them unspangled for a lower price.

July 2010 news: I have started making a new range of items - shawl pins with rings, and hair pins. These make great gifts and also a nice extra for yourself! I am making these in a nunber of woods and will add more to the website as time allows. You can find them by clicking on "other items" in the catalogue menu on the left. Or try using the site BROWSE button (top menu) and go to the Miscellaneous Turned Items department. This way you can explore the whole of the catalogue.

There is a new special offer, (see menu at left) and two new designs have been released as well, the Lignum Vitae mosaic and the "Starry Night" inlaid leopard type. Also some older designs are back in stock including two styles of bitted bobbins, jack-in-the-box and grandmother bobbins.

Please note that if your order value reaches A$200 you automatically get a 5% discount from the shopping cart.

I have a small range of items on Etsy here. These are all priced in US dollars. There are some shawl pins and a very limited selection of bobbins.

The current (2010) catalogue on this site has been updated with availability and includes some new models. Items in the catalogue are now listed in order with the oldest listings at the bottom.

Bobbins in my old catalogue can still be viewed by going to the archive (see the menu on the left). Please note that bobbins in the archive are shown for information only. Bobbins that can be ordered are all in the 2010 catalogue. The catalogue shows you which models are actually in stock and which are out of stock but can be made to order.
