Consignment (Sale or return) information

The service I offer, described below, is available to lace groups, lace teachers, and trade customers. Purchase discount terms are also available for trade customers.


I will send, on a sale or return basis, packs of bobbins and spangles for you to hold on approval for a period of about 8 weeks. After this time you are asked to return any unsold items, in good condition and in the original box, with payment due. Payment is to be made to me in Australia, for all customers. Return of goods for UK, USA, and New Zealand customers may be to my agent in those countries.

Payment methods are as for all other orders. We take a deposit at the time of order, a nominal A$5 booking fee plus A$5 postage fee. This also allows us to validate your credit card and confirms the booking. When you have sold items and advise us of the total due we make a second charge to your card for the actaul sales, after deduction of your discount.Use the Order Consignment bobbins below to make a booking. In the comments window in the cart add details of the size of group you will be selliing to, date by which the box is wanted and details of your customers' general preferences to help me select appropriate stock. It is essential you give us a valid working email address to contact you.


  • What you get

    From my stock of bobbins and beads, I send you a range of items in different price bands. I will attempt to be responsive to your requests for specific bobbin types and selection, if stock permits. All stock is supplied in clear poly bags labelled with price codes and bobbin model numbers.


  • Pricing and discounts

    A service charge of A$10 ($5 fee and $5 postage), is payable to book the service. No other advance payment is required - this works on a trust basis. If customers don't pay me promptly and in full, I will be be unable to continue this service. 10% discount from the marked price is allowed when you pay, provided you return the goods by the Return Date specified on the invoice. The Return Date is three calendar months after the date of invoice. Time for delivery to and from your address reduces the consignment period (typically) to a ten week period during which you have the stock. Longer periods for holding stock may sometimes be negotiated.

  • Quality Assurance

    I take pride in my reputation as a supplier and am constantly striving to make my products the best in terms of finish, utility, appearance and value for money. The goods are backed by my guarantee of refund or replacement of any item faulty in manufacture within 12 months of purchase. Please contact me immediately in the unlikely event of any problem.

  • Advance notice

    If you wish to be certain of a supply on a particular date 10-12 weeks notice is usually needed


  • Terms and Conditions

    The stock is sent in good condition. Any items returned must be safely packed and in good and saleable condition. Spangles should be handled with care to avoid bending the wires.

    The holder remains responsible for the stock during the sale or return period. It is recommended that you return bobbins by registered post. Though postal losses are very rare, if registered or insured post is not used for return of goods the holder will be liable for the items involved in the event of loss by the Postal Service, less any compensation fee paid to me by the Postal Service.

    All monies due will be paid in full by the holder by the return date.(shown on the invoice.) 10% discount will be allowed for returns made by the return date. NO DISCOUNT is allowed against payments/returns of stock received after the return date. 10% late fee per month overdue is chargeable on payments not received within 4 weeks of the return date.

    Pricing: I prefer that sales be made at the prices in my internet catalogue ruling at the time. However, you are free to sell the goods for higher prices, or indeed to pass on the discount I offer to you. Experience shows that customer goodwill is lost by charging more than a few percent over my retail prices though.

    Local taxes: My consignments usually get to customers duty free. If local taxes are due and charged, you will need to add these on to the price when you sell the goods, and pay them accordingly. This is your responsibility to the taxation authorities in your country and/or state.

    All bobbins shall be credited as the work of Malcolm Fielding.

    All items remain the legal property of Malcolm Fielding until payment at the appropriate rate has been made in full.

    Sales bags and any promotional materials are provided free and are for free distribution to customers. These need not be returned.
