I offer the chance to learn bobbin making techniques on a one-to-one tuition basis, in my workshop here in southern Tasmania. Tuition will be tailored to your individual requirements, and combined with accommodation in nearby tourism providers. There are several very pleasant accommodation options in this very beautiful area of southern Tasmania, and you can combine a learning package with other holiday activities and destinations here.

Tuition packages can be from one day to a full week in duration, and are negotiated on an individual basis. Reservations need to be made well in advance.

These packages suit all levels of ability, but those who will get most out of what I can offer will be those who have some previous experience in working with wood and/or metals plastics etc.

I will teach both actual turning techniques and the many methods of wood handling, inlay techniques, jig making and use, glue selection and use, anything you want to know in essence.
